ADS ESG assessment Framework and Greenhouse Gas Reporting Guide (with Riscon and ESG Assessors)

Case Study

Wattcraft, working with Riscon and ESG Assessors in a consortium, has supported the aerospace trade association, ADS, with the development of an ESG assessment framework and tool, and greenhouse gas emissions reporting guidance. These were designed specifically with SMEs in mind.

The outcomes were:

ESG Pillar Pathway

  • The ADS ESG Pathway is a comprehensive framework that guides organisations through their transformative journey and towards their ESG goals. The Pathway reflects the maturity of an organisation from Bronze (ESG Initiator), Silver (ESG Implementor) and Gold (ESG Leader).

  • The ESG Assessment Tool invites users to answer a series of self-assessment questions to get an instant report providing a detailed analysis. This serves as a starting point for businesses and can also be a useful tool for customers when benchmarking the capability of their supply chain.

  • The Greenhouse Gas Reporting Guide is a “how to” guide for SMEs in the Aerospace and Defence sectors, including a detailed implementation guide and the CBAM guidance (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism). This guidance provides industry-specific insights on the knowledge and tools necessary for effective GHG reporting.

  • Metrics that were were drawn from in the production of the ESG Assessment Tool and Greenhouse Gas Reporting Guide included:

    Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)

    Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB)

    ISO1400

    United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

    The Greenhouse Gas Protocol
